WHAT: Last night, Latin American Fashion Awards, the unprecedented fashion event founded by the two bona fide Latin American fashion legends Constanza Etro and Silvia, hosted an exclusive opening night cocktail at the historic private Villa of Oscar de la Renta to kick-off the Award celebrations to celebrate and promote Latin American fashion. Top fashion industry members and celebrities from all over the world traveled with style and excitement to the Dominican Republic for this one-of-a-kind experience, alongside heavyweights, designers, tycoons and socialites from all regions of Latin America.
The chic event, a very special opening night to the first-ever Latin American Fashion Awards, saw guests including Leslie Grace, Iván de Pineda, Valentina Ferrer, Tokischa, Haider Ackermann, Anna Dello Russo, Indya Moore, Kean Etro, Carmen Busquets, Willy Chavarria, Raúl Lopez, Stella Jean, Elena Velez, Camila Coutinho, Laura Tobón, Babba Rivera and Marina Testino, enjoying an immersive experience into Oscar de la Renta’s tropical lifestyle.
The VIP guests enjoyed cocktails, typical Dominican cuisine and live music in the sophisticated villa, which was intact as the iconic designer left it many years ago after his passing. Even his own personal furniture was used throughout the event, making this a unique experience in the region and worldwide. The co-founders Constanza Etro and Silvia Argüello welcomed the +300 notable guests as they gathered to celebrate the unprecedented event, which will culminate with the highly anticipated Awards Ceremony on Saturday, November 4th.
