Channing Tatum Selected by Versace to Lead Versace Eros Perfume Campaign

Channing Tatum Tapped as Face of Versace Eros Fragrances

Channing Tatum is about to represent no less than Eros for Versace. This comes on the heels of the release of sensual images and a video featuring Zoë Kravitz, Tatum’s fiancée, modeling for a Saint Laurent book.

Versace, the Italian luxury fashion house, has chosen Tatum to be the new face of their Eros men’s fragrances. The upcoming advertising campaign spotlighting this collaboration is set to be unveiled on August 6, accompanied by a short film. This is Tatum’s inaugural campaign for Versace, notwithstanding his long-term friendship with Donatella Versace, the chief creative officer of the company. Tatum has donned the label on multiple red carpet events.

“When I started modeling in the 2000s, Versace was the brand I always wanted to work with but never did, so this campaign feels extra special and personal to me,” Tatum said. He added, “The Versace name has such a strong meaning to so many around the world, and to be a part of that legacy is a real privilege. Donatella is a true icon and friend and I am so excited to see the reaction to what we’ve created together.”

“I loved working with Channing for this shoot,” explained Donatella Versace. “Not only does he look amazing, he also put his heart into this campaign. He shows strength and power and is also one of the kindest and most charming men I have met. He defines modern masculinity. The perfect Versace man. There is no one better to embody Eros!”

The Eros brand by Versace is named after the Greek god of love and son of Aphrodite. It was first introduced in 2012 in a nod to the brand’s late founder Gianni Versace’s love of Greek history. Euroitalia, Versace’s fragrance licensee, helped develop Eros, which has become one of the company’s recognizable fragrance lines, thanks to its distinctive bottle design that features Versace symbols like the Medusa head and the Greca motif.

In line with this new collaboration, Tatum’s relationship with Versace is expected to continue blossoming. The actor, who recently appeared at the Versace fall 2023 fashion show in Los Angeles as well as the Versace Icons dinner and the Versace x Net-a-porter pre-Oscar party, has also been spotted in Versace while promoting his film “Fly Me to the Moon” which co-stars Scarlett Johansson.

In the future, Tatum will be busy promoting his movie “Blink Twice,” directed by his fiancée, Kravitz. The film, set to be released on August 23, will also star some famous faces, including Naomi Ackie, Christian Slater, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, Kyle Maclachlan, and Haley Joel Osment.

Since 2005, Euroitalia has served as Versace’s fragrance licensee. The company also holds licensing agreements for brands like Michael Kors, Moschino, Missoni, Dsquared2, Brunello Cucinelli, and others. The impressive performance of Versace fragrances, particularly in the U.S., China, and travel retail — where sales were up 25 percent — contributed to Euroitalia’s record sales, which grew by 24.4 percent to 857.4 million euros compared to 2022.
