Chanel Supports MoMA Film Benefit Honoring Samuel L. Jackson

Chanel Supported the Celebration of the Iconic Actor at the MoMA’s 16th Annual Film Benefit

The Museum of Modern Art hosted its 2024 Film Benefit on October 23, honoring the celebrated actor Samuel L. Jackson. The event, presented in collaboration with Chanel, marked the sixteenth edition of the annual gala, paying tribute to Jackson’s extensive career in film.

The evening included speeches from several notable figures, including Denzel Washington, Spike Lee, Walton Goggins, and Kenny Leon. Jackson’s wife, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, also offered her reflections, along with MoMA’s Chief Curator of Film, Rajendra Roy. Pre-recorded tributes from Scarlett Johansson, Brie Larson, and filmmaker George Lucas were also shared with the audience.

The night concluded with a performance by Nigerian artist TEMS, introduced by actress Danielle Deadwyler.

The event drew an array of high-profile attendees, including Sofia Coppola, Amanda Seyfried, LL Cool J, Natasha Lyonne, and many others from the entertainment and fashion worlds. Sarah Arison, President of MoMA’s Board of Trustees, and Michael Ovitz, Film Committee Chair, were also present to celebrate the honoree and his contributions to the film industry.
