The Only Accessory Shown at the Designer’s Last Two Shows Gets Its Long-Anticipated Release
JW Anderson has introduced its latest accessory, the Loafer bag, a design described as a personal favorite of the brand’s founder and creative director, Jonathan Anderson. Making its debut in the brand’s previous two runway shows – where it was the only accessory shown – the Loafer bag is now set for release on November 25.
Inspired by the timeless penny loafer shoe, the bag deconstructs and reimagines key details of the footwear. Its design features a front whale-tail penny keeper detail, meticulously hand-stitched with box stitches that echo the craftsmanship of the original shoe. The base of the bag mirrors the sole of a loafer, while its handle is crafted to emulate the welt—a distinctive detail of classic loafers.
The Loafer bag is available in two sizes: the classic and the larger Weekender version. Both are crafted in Italy and reflect the brand’s commitment to high-quality materials and thoughtful design. The classic size is offered in four colorways and two fabrications inspired by the original loafer: smooth calf leather in black, pecan, and off-white, as well as a chocolate brown suede option. The Weekender Loafer bag is available in black leather and chocolate suede. All variations feature silver hardware and JW Anderson-branded pullers.
