Jean Paul Gaultier serves up vibrant sensual decadence with a new campaign for its BELLE et BEAUT perfumes, captured by photographer Elizaveta Porodina.
Deploying her signature lushly saturated and chromatic style, Porodina captures models Alva Claire and Noah Luis Brown in painterly compositions as they indulgently smolder among rich swathes of tropical flowers. Boudoir-inspired styling and cocoons of shimmering tulle enhance the moodily sensual atmosphere and give the photographer plenty of shine and depth to play with. Set designer Emilia Margulies also deserves a nod for the controlled chaos of her effusive flower arrangements.
It’s no wonder that Porodina is one of the most sought-after photographers in fashion today. She has an utterly distinct and striking style; you can look at an image and instantly know it is hers. At the same time, however, she does have a strong understanding of a brand’s particular image and vision, and she always does great work to bring a designer’s world alchemically together with her own lushly saturated psychedelic drama.
That’s a particularly fitting recipe for a JPG fragrance campaign, and the results are sexy, vibrant, and intoxicating.
