Alaïa Opens First Boutique in Thailand at Central Embassy Bangkok

The new store expands the Maison’s presence in Asia through a space defined by architectural continuity and material precision

Alaïa opened its first boutique in Thailand at Central Embassy in Bangkok, marking a new step in the brand’s expansion across Asia. The store was designed by Swedish architecture studio Halleroed, translating the Maison’s visual language into a retail environment centered on fluidity, material contrast, and spatial continuity.

The interior is defined by curved lines and continuous surfaces, with marble extending across walls and floors to create a unified architectural gesture. The façade incorporates illuminated perforations referencing Alaïa’s signature motifs, while a monochrome palette of black and white reinforces a sense of reduction and clarity.

Materials including Carrara marble and stainless steel are offset by softer elements such as nude leather in the fitting rooms, emphasizing a balance between structure and intimacy. Central to the layout are monolithic marble volumes, which anchor the space and organize the presentation of collections.

The store also integrates a selection of design furniture, including custom pieces by Philippe Malouin and armchairs by Brazilian designer Sergio Rodrigues. These elements contribute to a curated environment that reflects Azzedine Alaïa’s longstanding approach to combining fashion with collectible design.

The opening underscores Alaïa’s continued development of its retail network in key international markets, positioning the Bangkok boutique as both a commercial space and an extension of the Maison’s architectural and design identity.
