The new space launches with a photography exhibition exploring observation and everyday life
Lemaire opened its third Paris boutique on May 13, 2026, within the arcades of the Palais Royal. Located in a cloister facing the garden, the new address continues the quiet and contemplative atmosphere associated with the brand’s Place des Vosges store while engaging with the historic and cultural identity of the Palais Royal.

Spanning approximately 100 square metres, the boutique preserves the architectural rhythm of the building through a series of vaults and niches. The design references the Palais Royal’s historical role in shaping modern retail culture during the 19th century, when the arcades became associated with flâneurs, early department stores, and public spaces centered on observation and display.
Inside, the store adopts a restrained material palette of stone and soft grey tones across the floors, walls, and ceilings, allowing garments and accessories to remain the visual focus. Natural light enters from two open sides through translucent veils, maintaining a visual connection between the boutique and the surrounding arcades.
To coincide with the opening, Lemaire has launched “A Box of Impressions,” a photography exhibition co-curated by Lou Stoppard and Sarah-Linh Tran. The project brings together works by 21 photographers including Teju Cole, Moyra Davey, Justin Kurland, Jeff Mermelstein, Marianne Mueller, and Hayahisa Tomiyasu. The exhibition explores themes of ephemerality, observation, and the relationship between public and private space.
The opening reflects Lemaire’s broader interest in photography, cultural programming, and environments shaped by slowness and everyday experience, extending the brand’s retail identity beyond fashion into curatorial and artistic dialogue.
