The former Harper’s Bazaar Fashion News Director will lead the retailer’s fashion direction across merchandising, marketing, and media
Brooke Bobb has joined Nordstrom as Vice President and Fashion Director, where she will report directly to Chief Merchandising Officer Jamie Nordstrom beginning in August. The appointment comes as the department store continues to invest in its luxury business, positioning editorial storytelling as an increasingly important part of its overall merchandising strategy.

In her new role, Bobb will oversee Nordstrom’s seasonal fashion direction across stores, digital channels, and marketing campaigns while also serving as the company’s fashion and trend spokesperson. She brings more than two decades of experience spanning fashion journalism, editorial strategy, and digital media. Most recently, she covered industry news, trends, and leading designers for Harper’s Bazaar. Her background also includes roles at Amazon Luxury Stores, The New York Times Style Magazine, and Vogue. Placing fashion editorial expertise at the center of the retailer’s customer-facing strategy reflects how department stores are increasingly blending merchandising with editorial content.
The appointment aligns with Nordstrom’s broader push to enhance its luxury offering and build relationships with emerging designers. The retailer recently marked its 125th anniversary with an exclusive capsule collection featuring brands such as Chanel, Christian Louboutin, and Brunello Cucinelli, while continuing to broaden its designer assortment with labels including Etro, Yohji Yamamoto, and Christopher John Rogers.
As luxury retail becomes increasingly driven by curation and storytelling, the appointment signals Nordstrom’s intention to further integrate editorial perspective into its merchandising strategy.
