Mammut Appoints Heiko Schäfer New CEO

The Swiss outdoor company Mammut Sports Group AG appoints Heiko Schäfer as new Group CEO effective September 1st, 2022. For Schäfer, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Hugo Boss AG, Mammut marks his return to the sporting goods world. His focus will be on further strengthening the iconic Mammut mountain brand and accelerating its growth on a global level.

With Heiko Schäfer as its new CEO, Mammut is gearing up to accelerate its profitable growth and brand equity building, leveraging its leading position as a mountain brand through continued innovation, Swiss-crafted quality and sustainability. 

Schäfer brings a wealth of experience in the sporting goods industry. The German manager held numerous senior executive positions for companies such as Adidas and most recently Hugo Boss. Schäfer combines a focus on operational excellence and profitability with a profound understanding of brand dynamics in a digital environment. As Chief Operating Officer at Hugo Boss, Schäfer successfully contributed to the company’s stabilization during and acceleration out of the pandemic, while driving the transformation of its value chain towards digitalization and sustainability. 

Greg Nieuwenhuys, who has headed Mammut as interim Executive Chairman since September 2021, will continue to work closely with Schäfer and Mammut as Chairman of the Board.

Glossier Announced Kyle Leahy as New CEO

Kyle Leahy has been named chief executive officer at Glossier. Leahy joined Glossier in 2021 as the first-ever Chief Commercial Officer.

Bastien Daguzan

Jacquemus Announced Bastien Daguzan as New CEO

Bastien Daguzan has been named chief executive officer at Jacquemus. Prior to this, Simon Porte Jacquemus previously acted as both CEO and creative director of the label.

Daguzan joins from Spanish luxury brand Paco Rabanne, where he has served as CEO since 2017. Prior to joining Paco Rabanne, Daguzan was CEO of French luxury brand Lemaire between 2013 and 2017.

Since 2017, Daguzan has been president of the IFM Alumni Association.

Andy Muir

Skims announced Andy Muir as Chief Financial Officer

Skims, cofounded by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede, hired Andy Muir to serve as the new chief financial officer.

Andy most recently served as vice president and Chief Financial Officer of the Jordan Brand, which is part of Nike Inc.

Debbie Rose Woloshin

Stitch Fix Announces Debbie Rose Woloshin As New Chief Marketing Officer

Stitch Fix, the world’s leading online personalized shopping and styling experience, announced Debbie Rose Woloshin is joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Woloshin will report to Stitch Fix CEO Elizabeth Spaulding and lead the company’s Marketing teams across the US and the UK. 

Woloshin was previously the Chief Marketing Officer at Marc Jacobs. Before Marc Jacobs, Woloshin led marketing at the Frye Company and Ann, Inc. and spent more than 17 years with the Jones Group.

Tim Parker

Harrods announced Tim Parker as Chief Financial Officer

Parker joins the luxury department retailer following a range of senior financial leadership roles throughout his 10 years at Jardine Matheson, where he diversified the Asia-centred group.

In a release, the retailer said Parker will be joining as it looks to recover from two difficult trading years caused by the pandemic and its lockdowns.

“As we continue to recover from the covid-19 pandemic and look towards the future, it is more important than ever to have the right talent in place to guide us through the next stage of our business strategy,” said Michael Ward, managing director of Harrods.

Ward continued: “We are delighted to welcome Tim to Harrods. I know the business will gain hugely from his leadership and extensive experience in a fast-moving market, and I look forward to working closely with him.”

The company said it will continue to invest in its in-store and online operations, as well as the opening of new divisions and the expansion of its H Beauty stores across the UK. It also noted that it is further planning to increase its presence in China and the Middle East.

Lisa Cherry to Join The John Lewis Partnership as Executive Director for People

The John Lewis Partnership has today appointed Lisa Cherry as Executive Director for People. 

Lisa, currently Group Chief People Officer for Post Office, will join the Partnership in early September. 

Lisa has more than twenty years’ experience working in large retailers in both operational and HR leadership roles, most recently at Post Office, where she was appointed to partner the new CEO to help evolve the organisation during a time of change. Lisa previously held a series of HR Director roles within the Post Office Group since joining in 2018. 

Lisa’s early career was spent in customer facing operational roles before joining the Sainsbury’s Graduate Scheme. This began in store management before moving into HR and Leadership Development. Her time at Sainsbury’s was followed by senior HR roles at WHSmith and Wyevale Garden Centres (a Terra Firma owned business).

Lisa will continue to develop and deliver the people strategy for the Partnership’s 78,000 Partners, all co-owners in the business. She will lead our work to create a people proposition that rewards and develops our Partners, provides exceptional health and wellbeing support and improves our diversity and inclusion, so we reflect the communities we serve.

Nikki Humphrey is leaving the Partnership to rejoin Virgin, as Chief People Officer for the Virgin Group.

Rachel Wilkerson Miller Named SELF Editor-In-Chief

Condé Nast announced Rachel Wilkerson Miller editor-in-chief of SELF. Wilkerson Miller was most recently senior editor at Vox.com, where she launched Vox’s first-ever dedicated service journalism hub. As editor-in-chief, she will be responsible for developing and creating SELF’s content across all platforms including digital, video and social, and will report to Anna Wintour, chief content officer, Condé Nast, and global editorial director, Vogue.
