Dior Unveils Luxurious Spa Renovation at Hôtel Plaza Athénée

The Revamped Space Offers Innovative Light Therapy and Custom Treatments, Expanding Dior’s Holistic Wellness Portfolio

Christian Dior is set to unveil a comprehensively renovated spa at the renowned Hôtel Plaza Athénée on Paris’ iconic Avenue Montaigne, as of September 5. Conveniently positioned across the street from Dior’s historical showroom and ateliers, the spa has been part of the hotel’s offerings since its 2008 inauguration. The recent renovation amplifies the brand’s focus on holistic wellness, boasting a sprawling 43,055-square-foot space carefully designed to exude tranquility.

The new spa retains the architectural ethos of Plaza Athénée while adhering to Dior’s hallmark aesthetic. From the toile de Jouy-patterned throws to the stone and wood constructions, every detail has been meticulously curated. The spa features a light therapy suite—billed as a first for a Paris luxury hotel—that utilizes LEDs to mimic the sun’s natural light, providing energizing, relaxing, and restorative effects. Developed in partnership with Lucibel, the “Cronos Light” aims to resynchronize circadian rhythms, elevating the overall wellness experience.

Upon entry, visitors are greeted with a reception area and a dedicated boutique offering exclusive Dior fragrances and a range of professional spa products. The facility encompasses five individual treatment rooms, a double room, a sauna, and a steam room. A variety of state-of-the-art treatments, from 90-minute to nearly four-hour-long rituals, tackle specific bodily needs—be it detoxification or stress relief—with prices ranging from 260 to 1,000 euros. Among the innovative technologies employed are the Waves 21 machine for metameric stimulation and the Dior Soin powered by Hydrafacial for deep cleansing.

Le Grand Salon, a relaxation lounge within the spa, serves curated vegetable juices, herbal teas, and food supplements while showcasing an array of Dior accessories. The Dior Spa at Hôtel Plaza Athénée establishes itself not merely as a sanctuary for traditional spa-goers but as a pioneering hub for holistic well-being, setting a new standard for luxury wellness in the fashion industry.
