The Brand Unveils the Fifth Cohort for Its Changemakers North America Scholarship Program
Gucci has announced the selection of 12 scholars for the Gucci Changemakers North America Scholarship Program, continuing its dedication to supporting underrepresented talent and fostering creativity within communities.
Since 2019, Gucci has been committed to making a positive impact on the fashion industry with initiatives like the Gucci Changemakers North America Scholarship Program. This program aims to empower undergraduate students with unmet financial needs who are interested in pursuing a career in fashion and design.
Each of the 12 scholars will receive a $20,000 academic scholarship and access to mentorship and virtual internship opportunities through Gucci Americas. The scholars come from various universities and have diverse career aspirations within the fashion and design sectors.
The recipients of this year’s scholarships are: Aaminah Syed, Marist College; Alan Rosas, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Amanda Fair, California State University, Los Angeles; Anya Dillard, Rutgers University; Azire Muhammad, Centenary College of Louisiana; Christopher Seng, Parsons School of Design; Faith Crawford, Howard University; Gregory Parks, Rhode Island School of Design; Jayda Murray, North Carolina State University; Mariana Segura, Savannah College of Art and Design; Matthew Beeston, Parsons School of Design, and Saima Tate, LIM College.
The recipients of the Gucci Changemakers Impact Fund and the Gucci Changemakers Creative Fellows will be announced in the fall, further showcasing Gucci’s commitment to driving positive change within the fashion industry.
