Jacquemus Opens Melrose Avenue Boutique

The space features custom furnishings, curated vintage objects, and the debut of “LA GALERIE”

On April 24, 2025, Jacquemus opened a new retail location at 8800 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood. The boutique continues the design trajectory established by the brand’s London and New York openings last year, offering a space that blends Provençal aesthetic influences with a collector’s approach to art and design.

The single-floor boutique spans 255 square meters and incorporates architectural details and materials that recall the South of France. Terracotta brick flooring is laid in a herringbone pattern, while limestone clay stucco walls frame the open interior. Olive trees and lavender flank the store’s entrance, providing a distinctive olfactory atmosphere.

Inside, custom furnishings—including a 10-meter-long yellow linen sofa by Luther Quintana—create a residential feel. Artworks and objects curated from various periods and regions are placed throughout the space. These include a Jean Royère Chaise Croisillon, a mid-century Brutalist stool from Spain, contemporary ceramic vases by Mathilde Martin, and a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Taliesen 1 Table Lamp. Art Deco influences, mid-century French design, and American pop culture artifacts are also represented, including a 1999 photograph of David Hockney by Peggy Sirota and a 1951 André Ostier image of a couture fitting in Paris.

The boutique also debuts “LA GALERIE,” a curated collection of vintage jewelry and objects. The initial offering includes approximately 20 pieces—earrings, brooches, necklaces, bracelets, and various small decorative items—sourced by Simon Porte Jacquemus from markets and galleries across Europe. Most date from the 1920s to 1960s and feature sculptural designs rather than precious stones.

The boutique is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
