Featuring vintage pieces, Provençal references, and a curated design experience
On April 24, 2025, Jacquemus officially opened its newest boutique at 8800 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood. Following the design direction established by its London and New York locations, the Los Angeles store presents a vision of a Provençal home where rustic elements are elevated through a refined, contemporary approach.
Visitors are welcomed by olive trees and lavender planted around the entrance, evoking the atmosphere of the South of France. Inside, the 255-square-meter space, spread across a single floor, mirrors the intimate yet expansive feel of founder Simon Porte Jacquemus’ Paris office. A terracotta brick floor laid in a herringbone pattern and limestone clay stucco walls define the architectural framework.
Custom-made furniture, including a 10-meter-long sofa upholstered in sunny yellow linen by Luther Quintana, is complemented by a curated selection of art and design pieces. The space incorporates works spanning time periods and styles, such as a Jean Royère Chaise Croisillon, a small ancient Egyptian vase, and Art Deco elements to mark the 100th anniversary of the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts. Additional highlights include a Brutalist stool from 1960s Spain, ceramic vases by Mathilde Martin, and furnishings referencing icons like Frank Lloyd Wright and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
As part of the boutique’s launch, Jacquemus is debuting “LA GALERIE,” a curated collection of vintage items selected personally by Simon. This initial offering features approximately 20 jewelry pieces—earrings, brooches, necklaces, and bracelets—focusing on sculptural forms, alongside decorative objects such as trays, boxes, and dishes dating from the 1920s to 1960s.
The new Los Angeles boutique continues Jacquemus’ approach of designing retail environments that reflect Simon’s personal influences and aesthetic references, creating a distinctive world for visitors to explore.
The store’s opening hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
