Louis Vuitton Marks 10 Years of Partnership With UNICEF

The anniversary expands the House’s long-term commitment to children’s rights with new initiatives supporting gender equality and women’s empowerment

Louis Vuitton is marking the 10th anniversary of its partnership with UNICEF, celebrating a decade of support for programs dedicated to children’s rights and humanitarian aid around the world. The partnership began on January 12, 2016, in Los Angeles, establishing a long-term commitment focused on education, responsibility, and support for future generations.

Over the past decade, the initiative has centered on the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and build a future regardless of where they are born. Following its renewed support for UNICEF, Louis Vuitton is expanding the partnership to include programs focused on gender equality and women’s empowerment, broadening the scope of its social impact work.

A central symbol of the partnership has been the Silver Lockit collection, first launched in 2016. The permanent unisex line includes a bracelet, silver chain pendant, and earrings, with a portion of annual sales donated to UNICEF. Since its launch, the initiative has generated $28 million in contributions, exceeding the House’s minimum annual commitment of 2 million euros.

The partnership also extends internally through employee-driven initiatives. The LV World Run brings together Louis Vuitton employees, families, and children for a solidarity event centered on fundraising and awareness, while the LV Reporters program sends selected employees into the field with UNICEF teams to meet beneficiaries and share first-hand accounts of the organization’s work.

To mark the anniversary, Louis Vuitton will introduce new interpretations of the Silver Lockit collection, a new edition of the Rebonds book, and an exceptional timepiece titled the Louis Vuitton Unity Time Object, accompanied by a dedicated Louis Vuitton trunk. The timepiece will be auctioned through a 10-day international online sale organized by Sotheby’s beginning June 9, with the hammer price donated to UNICEF.

The anniversary reinforces Louis Vuitton’s positioning of philanthropy as a sustained, long-term commitment rather than a one-off initiative, linking product, employee engagement, and global humanitarian support within a single ongoing program.
