The Pair Reunite to Host the Events of the BFC Foundation’s Biggest Evening
The British Fashion Council has announced the return of British broadcaster and entrepreneur Maya Jama and musical artist Kojey Radical as co-hosts for The Fashion Awards 2024, presented by Pandora. Set for Monday, December 2, at London’s Royal Albert Hall, The Fashion Awards serve as a major fundraising event for the BFC Foundation. The annual event celebrates the intersections of fashion, culture, and entertainment, highlighting creative talent and key stories that have shaped the fashion landscape over the year.
Jama, known for her influential presence in television and radio, has built a successful career over the past decade both on and off-screen. In addition to her work in media, she is a prominent entrepreneur and a strong advocate for British fashion, particularly emerging designers. Earlier this year, she joined the BFC Foundation Advisory Committee, further emphasizing her commitment to supporting the UK’s fashion industry.
Kojey Radical, a British musician and visual artist, is celebrated for his work across various music genres, including grime, hip hop, and spoken word. Known for his unique style and creative vision, Kojey has garnered multiple award nominations and has established himself as a voice for his generation, breaking new ground in both music and fashion.
Caroline Rush, Chief Executive of the BFC, expressed enthusiasm about the pair’s return to the event: “We are delighted that Maya and Kojey are returning as the co-hosts this year. It was a pleasure to watch them on stage last year, their love and support of British fashion and emerging talent makes them the perfect duo for the job. I am really looking forward to seeing their dynamic energy on stage again as we celebrate the year in fashion.”
The Fashion Awards unite a global audience in London, spotlighting leaders of change and excellence in creativity while fostering the next wave of fashion talent. As the primary fundraiser for the BFC Foundation, a registered charity, the event supports the British fashion industry’s future growth, focusing on education, grants, and business mentoring to empower emerging designers.
