Fendi offers a fun peek at fall style with a new campaign for its Fall 2022 Peekaboo capsule collection, shot by photographer Johnny Dufort.
Dufort’s studio portraits situate the house’s iconic Peekaboo bag – which has been reimagined in micro and macro sizes with new colors and visible stitching – front and center. He creates a subtle sense of depth out of the interplay of optical lines between camera, handbag, and model, while soft pink backdrops offer a fun pop of brightness to offset the more neutral fall colors.
An accompanying short film puts these portraits in motion to a steadily building club beat, pumping up the energy and emphasizing the status of a handbag as a trusty and stylish companion for the motions of life.
Simple and sweet, the campaign is a strong and, in its stylishly minimal emphasis on craft itself, decidedly Fendi way to welcome the newest members of the Peekaboo family.
