Notable Debuts Include Walter Chiapponi at Blumarine and Matteo Tamburini at Tod’s
The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana has shared a provisional schedule for Milan Fashion Week in February. Currently set to host 55 physical and 4 digital shows, the events will run from the 20th through the 26th.
The first day of the schedule will see the opening of the CNMI Fashion Hub, which supports emerging designers. Runway shows proper begin on Tuesday the 21st, with Etro closing the day with its pivot to a co-ed presentation (previously the brand had shown men’s and women’s separately).
Notable debuts throughout the week include Walter Chiapponi’s first show as creative director at Blumarine and Matteo Tamburini’s first show as creative director at Tod’s. Following its world tour that made stops in Brooklyn, Tokyo, and Paris, Marni will return to its home of Milan.
Emerging designers joining the calendar for the first time include Feben, which is the latest young brand to receive support from Dolce & Gabbana, and Sagaboi.
Tentpole Milan houses like Fendi, Prada, Gucci (where Sabato De Sarno will continue to unveil his direction for the brand), Jil Sander, Tom Ford, Ferragamo, and Bottega Veneta are also set to return to more or less their typical time slots.
The definitive schedule of shows, including details for presentations and events, is set to be released on the morning of February 7th.
