Catering to VICs, the Space Above the Brand’s Madison Avenue Boutique Is Open By Appointment Only
Bottega Veneta has unveiled its latest Residence on Madison Avenue in New York, offering curated high-end services for private clients. The launch, marked by a book reading and brunch, celebrated the debut of the brand’s new Richard Scarry capsule collection. This second Residence follows the opening of Palazzo Bottega Veneta in Venice last June, situated in the historic Palazzo Soranzo Van Axel.
The Madison Avenue Residence, located above Bottega Veneta’s boutique at 740 Madison Avenue, reflects the brand’s ties to both Venice and New York. Curated by creative director Matthieu Blazy, the space features a blend of midcentury Italian design and Venetian craftsmanship. Highlights include a Murano glass chandelier, a gondola-shaped sofa by Adrian Pearsall, and iconic pieces by designers such as Gino Sarfatti and Achille Castiglioni. The décor reflects archival inspiration from Bottega Veneta’s original Venetian-style boutique.
The Residence offers exclusive services for private clients, including collection previews, made-to-order pieces, and dressing consultations. It also hosts cultural events aimed at fostering artistic collaboration and community engagement. This space serves as a platform for artisans from the Veneto region, part of the “Bottega for Bottegas” initiative launched in 2021, which supports small-scale craftsmanship.
Blazy emphasized the Residence as a physical embodiment of Bottega Veneta’s values, blending Venetian artisanship with the vibrancy of New York. The venue also launched a fine jewelry category, available exclusively at the Madison Avenue and Venice locations.
Looking to the future, Bottega Veneta is considering a third Residence in Japan, reflecting its strong relationship with the region. New stores are set to open in Tokyo, Sydney, and Las Vegas by the end of the year, further expanding the brand’s global footprint.
