Blazy’s Chanel Debut Heads to Seoul
Chanel has announced that its Métiers d’art 2026 collection—first revealed in New York in December 2025—will be presented in Seoul, South Korea on May 26, 2026. The event marks the South Korean debut of Matthieu Blazy’s first collection for the house.
Created in 2002 to honor the artisans behind Chanel’s most intricate work, the Métiers d’art collection has become a cornerstone of the house’s calendar. More than a runway presentation, the show serves as a tribute to the craftsmanship embedded in Chanel’s identity—spotlighting the work of its specialist ateliers, from embroidery to featherwork, housed under the Paraffection umbrella.
For Blazy, the collection is a chance to engage with the full vocabulary of Chanel’s heritage codes while signaling his early direction as creative lead. Restaging the show in Seoul continues the maison’s long-standing commitment to cultural exchange and global visibility, especially in key markets where craftsmanship resonates with an increasingly discerning audience.
As with previous Métiers d’art presentations, the Seoul event is expected to blend creative storytelling with the technical brilliance of Chanel’s artisans, reinforcing the brand’s dual investment in legacy and modernity.
