The annual event honored seven artists and gathered leading figures from the art, fashion, and film worlds
Dia Art Foundation hosted its 2026 Spring Benefit on May 16 at Dia Beacon in Beacon, New York, honoring artists John Chamberlain, Tehching Hsieh, Lee Ufan, Agnes Martin, Hélio Oiticica, Kishio Suga, and Jack Whitten in conjunction with a series of recent and upcoming exhibitions dedicated to their work.
More than 600 guests from the art, fashion, film, and philanthropic communities attended the event, which supported Dia’s exhibitions, commissions, educational initiatives, publications, and long-term installations. This year’s benefit cochairs included Matthieu Blazy, Nathalie de Gunzburg, Joan Jonas, and Lisa Yuskavage.
The program began with a morning reception in the Gerhard Richter gallery, followed by a lunch held in the John Chamberlain galleries. During the event, Dia Board Chair Nathalie de Gunzburg and Dia Director Jessica Morgan delivered remarks honoring the participating artists and outlining the institution’s ongoing programming. Galleries remained open throughout the day, with additional activities organized for younger guests in the Serra galleries.
Chanel supported the benefit, continuing the House’s ongoing involvement with contemporary art institutions and cultural philanthropy. Event design and production were handled by Cait & Jules, with catering by Olivier Cheng Catering and Events.
Guests included artists Tehching Hsieh, Joan Jonas, Camille Henrot, Laurie Simmons, Precious Okoyomon, Carrie Mae Weems, and Henry Taylor, alongside museum leaders including Klaus Biesenbach, Thelma Golden, Max Hollein, Glenn Lowry, and Legacy Russell. Figures from fashion, film, and broader cultural industries in attendance included Matthieu Blazy, Paloma Elsesser, Lauren Santo Domingo, Derek Blasberg, Alicia Keys, and Eric Nam.
The benefit reflected Dia’s continued focus on long-term artistic engagement and institutional support for major contemporary and postwar artists across disciplines.
