The award continues Ami Paris’ growing involvement in supporting emerging filmmakers at Cannes

Marine Atlan has won the Grand Prix Ami Paris at the 65th edition of La Semaine de la Critique during the Cannes Film Festival for her debut feature La Gradiva. The prize was presented on May 20 by jury president Payal Kapadia, reinforcing Ami Paris’ ongoing partnership with the Cannes sidebar dedicated to emerging cinema and first-time filmmakers.
Directed by Atlan, La Gradiva follows a group of high school students traveling to Pompeii alongside their Latin teacher, where the charged atmosphere of the ancient city gradually dissolves emotional and generational boundaries. Set against a backdrop of mythology, volcanic landscapes, and adolescent uncertainty, the film explores desire, sensitivity, and emotional instability through an ensemble cast led by Antonia Buresi.
As principal sponsor of La Semaine de la Critique, Ami Paris continues to deepen its relationship with contemporary cinema and young creative talent through the Grand Prix Ami Paris initiative. The partnership reflects a wider movement among fashion houses increasingly positioning themselves within international film culture through awards, production support, and festival collaborations.
Marine Atlan was photographed following the ceremony alongside Ami Paris founder and creative director Alexandre Mattiussi and Ava Cahen, executive director of La Semaine de la Critique.
