Created with artist and set designer Jeanne Briand, the installation transforms the House’s Fall 2026 campaign into a sculptural retail experience centered on craftsmanship and atmosphere

Balmain has unveiled a new window installation that extends the visual language of its Fall-Winter 2026 campaign into a cinematic retail environment. Conceived by artist and set designer Jeanne Briand, the installation translates the campaign’s themes of presence, absence, and quiet intensity into a sculptural composition that will appear in the House’s boutiques.
At the center of the installation is an anonymous figure seen only from behind, suspended in a moment between intimacy and performance. A handbag or pair of shoes left on the stage-like setting becomes the only trace of departure, reinforcing the narrative through subtle gestures rather than overt storytelling.
The environment is defined by curved architectural forms entirely covered in off-white carpet, creating a muted, light-absorbing backdrop that emphasizes stillness and allows Balmain’s accessories and craftsmanship to take focus. A patinated metal platform serves simultaneously as pedestal, table, and stage, while a bespoke folding screen in printed satin reinterprets archival Balmain motifs through a contemporary lens, balancing heritage with modern design.
By favoring restraint over spectacle, the installation extends the cinematic atmosphere of Balmain’s Fall-Winter 2026 campaign into physical space, creating an immersive setting that highlights the House’s savoir-faire through architecture, materiality, and light.
