The partnership will connect American fashion manufacturers with global brands through educational programming and expanded industry access.
Fashion by Informa and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) have partnered to launch a new initiative aimed at strengthening domestic fashion manufacturing. Debuting this September in tandem with Fashion by Informa’s New York Marketplace, the collaboration will introduce educational programming and highlight American manufacturing partners, creating new opportunities for connections between U.S. producers and international brands, buyers, and industry leaders.
The programming will include two CFDA-led educational sessions that focus on helping brands better understand the capabilities of domestic manufacturing and will even showcase six to eight local manufacturers from New York City. Through panel discussions, networking opportunities, and curated planning, the initiative is designed to facilitate conversations around sourcing, production, and the evolving role of American manufacturing.
The collaboration underscores Fashion by Informa and the CFDA’s shared commitment to support the long-term growth of the U.S. fashion ecosystem. By putting manufacturers directly into the mix of conversation with designers, retailers, and sourcing professionals, the organizations will expand access to local production resources and encourage stronger domestic supply chain relationships.
The initiative marks another effort to strengthen connections across the American fashion industry, positioning the 3-day event as a platform not only for commerce but also for advancing the visibility and accessibility of domestic manufacturing.
