The equestrian-coded collection arrives as handbags gain weight within the company’s high-potential growth portfolio.
Ralph Lauren is building a new accessories anchor for the Polo woman with Polo Blaze, a Fall 2026 handbag collection that translates one of the house’s deepest brand codes—equestrianism—into a scalable product family.

Named for the white marking that runs down a horse’s face, Polo Blaze brings a more assertive shape to the label’s leather-goods offer. Long, curved shoulder bags sit alongside a compact top-handle style, with tumbled and moto-inflected leathers, contrast stitching, elongated straps, and distinctive hardware establishing the line’s visual identity. The result carries Polo’s heritage through a leaner, urban frame.
Three silhouettes establish the assortment: the Small Shoulder Bag, the Top Handle, and the Large Shoulder Bag. The collection spans black, chestnut, currant, ash, and petrol blue, with colors varying by shape.
Ralph Lauren has positioned Polo Blaze as a foundational handbag collection following its Paris Fashion Week debut. The designation places the launch within the company’s wider effort to develop handbags as a sustained growth category. In its fiscal 2026 earnings update, Ralph Lauren reported constant-currency growth above 20% across high-potential categories that include women’s apparel, outerwear, and handbags. Average unit retail increased in the mid-teens for the fourth quarter and full year, supported by product elevation, channel mix, and stronger full-price selling.

Seen in this context, Polo Blaze functions as a test of franchise building inside Polo’s women’s accessories business. Its name ties the collection to a code Ralph Lauren already owns, while the hardware and repeatable silhouettes provide recognition. A tiered assortment gives the company room to extend the concept through color, fabrication, and seasonal updates.
The creative direction supports that commercial aim. Chestnut and black establish continuity with the brand’s riding heritage, while currant and petrol blue add fashion currency. Long, low proportions and lived-in leather treatments place the bags in a modern city wardrobe, expanding Polo’s equestrian world for a customer whose entry point is personal style.
Polo Blaze ultimately reflects Ralph Lauren’s broader strategy of converting durable lifestyle codes into recognizable, full-price product platforms. Its next measure of success will be repeatability—and whether one seasonal introduction develops into an enduring accessories franchise.
