The new initiative introduces an ongoing program of artist collaborations exploring the House’s heritage through contemporary perspectives

Bottega Veneta introduced “Bottega Veneta for the Arts,” a new collaborative series commissioned by Creative Director Louise Trotter, beginning with a photographic project by British artist Peter Fraser. The initiative establishes a platform for ongoing dialogue between the House and contemporary creatives working across disciplines.
The inaugural series, shot in Venice, comprised 27 images that reinterpret the city as both a cultural landmark and a living source of inspiration. Fraser approached the project through a combination of close-up and wide-angle compositions, focusing on textures, materials, and architectural forms to capture both intimate details and broader spatial contexts.
Born in Wales in 1953, Fraser has built a practice shaped by travel and observation, with work spanning locations including New York, West Africa, and Europe. His photographic approach centers on the exploration of visual detail and atmosphere, reflecting an ongoing interest in the relationship between place and perception.

For this project, Fraser engaged with Bottega Veneta’s Summer 2026 collection, marking Louise Trotter’s debut for the House. The images incorporated new interpretations of signature product lines, including the Baby Veneta, positioning them within the context of the Veneto region where the brand was founded in 1966.
“Bottega Veneta for the Arts” extends the House’s broader strategy of collaborating with artists and creatives, following previous partnerships with Duane Michals and painter Poppy Jones. The initiative reinforces Bottega Veneta’s connection to its Venetian origins while expanding its engagement with contemporary cultural production.
