COS, the London based brand, has opened up its first store in Chicago and 15th store in the United States.
The store is located on Oak Street, housing all of their collections on three floors and 5,700 square feet.
The interior of the store perfectly aligns with COS aesthetic of the cleanliness and modern look being combined with natural elements. It’s both calm and à la mode. The grey color mixed with subtle materials builds for a blank canvas as a backdrop.
There’s a railing system to divide up the different collections to showcase all of them. The lounge areas feature furniture designed by Eames, Wegner and Finn Juhl.
The exterior, pays homage to the minimalist architectural history of Chicago with steel and glass sections throughout.
“It’s incredibly exciting for us to open our first store in Chicago,” said Marie Honda, Managing Director for COS, “ it is a city that has such rich architectural history and so much inspiration to offer us. Oak Street is the perfect location for our first store and we hope customers in the city will enjoy the collection.”
