The Travel-Focused Collection Draws on the House’s Historic Codes and Craft
Louis Vuitton has launched its “Flight Mode” collection for Summer 2024, extending its celebration of the art of travel.
The Flight Mode collection was first introduced last November for the Fall 2023 season. The latest iteration of the collection takes the same concept of translating the house’s trunk-making heritage and celebration of the art of travel into functional and comfortable luxury pieces for the contemporary jet-set traveler in a more summery direction.
The collection features a historical theme centered around the Élysée Palace motif, which includes vintage-style travel patches that pay homage to the first Parisian luxury hotel on avenue Champs-Élysées. Nnewly introduced Monogram canvas bags, like the Keepall and Side Trunk, are decorated with Élysée Palace Hotel stamps, bringing traditional aesthetics to contemporary travel needs through design details such as a lightweight resin coating. Rounding out the collection is a range of ready-to-wear, shoes, jewelry, and silk scarves.
