The Designer Hosted the 15th Anniversary of her Falabella Bag With a Party at Her SoHo New York Flagship
Stella McCartney celebrated her iconic Falabella bag with a party in New York City at her Soho flagship store. Friends of the brand and fashion influencers came together to honor the original vegan “it” bag’s 15th anniversary, enjoying cocktails and a vegan menu provided by Sakara. DJed by Zuri Marley, the evening included hugely exaggerated and inflated Falabellas, alongside vegan food and ice sculptures in the shape of the signature accessory.
A mix of next-generation trailblazers and friends of the Stella McCartney house attended, including Hannah Waddingham, Alioune Badara Fall, Coco Bassey, Christian Bendek, Afiya Bennett, Juana Burga, Zaya Burga, Francesca Buci, Quannah Chasinghorse, Sai de Silva, Isan Elba, Liz Gilles, Serena Goh, Olivia Joan, Mary Leest, Lena Mahfouf, Isabella Massenet, Nicole Ari Parker, Alexandra Richards, Liana Satenstein, Lilly Sisto, Destry Spielberg, Marina Testino, Jessica Wang, Young Emperors, and more.
Originally launched in 2009, the Falabella upended the status quo of the It-Bag era by offering the same luxury style and craftsmanship but without the leather – a statement of Stella McCartney’s commitment to vegan production and sustainable style.
