Top 10 Shows From New York Fashion Week Spring 2023

The first of the “Big 4” fashion weeks, New York continues to work its way up to the same level as its more prestigious older siblings, and this season saw felt like another strong step for global status of the city’s fashion scene. While the presence of a few Italian visitors certainly helped, the top American designers did impressive work to hold it down for the city.

Hometown hero Tory Burch successfully slowed down with a collection that pared back the boldness of her last few collections in favor of refined ease and experiments with layering and translucency.

Jason Wu delivered a collection that was a nod to the minimalist 90s heydays of American fashion, and backed up this style by committing to working with American craftspeople to create it.

Stopping in New York for the first leg of its multi-season world tour, Marni dazzled with a collection that saw creative director Francesco Risso unveil an elegant new chapter for the artful Milanese cult favorite.
