While in some ways fashion month is dominated by huge names and iconic heritage brands, some of the most exciting creative work comes from places where we have to pay a little more attention. Our Top 10 ‘Other’ category highlights talents who may not be as well known, but who deserve just as much recognition as their longer-established counterparts – perhaps even more, as these are the personalities and brands guiding fashion into its next generation.

Two former disciples of Phoebe Philo at Céline who are now carving out their own path, Peter Do in New York (who made his runway debut) and Rok Hwang of Rokh in London made it onto the Top 10 with strong showings

In Paris, Victoria/Tomas expressed a unique approach to committing to sustainability with a collection that was entirely reversible, a move that is also very impressive from a physical design perspective. A change in ownership and creative direction proved to be a very strong move for Shang Xia, which could be on its way to becoming a global household name. At once sharply sophisticated and bubbly, designer Yang Li’s collection showed that minimalism can still be delightfully inventive and colorful.

Sunnei takes home the top spot in the category with their quirky yet intellectual and endlessly stylish exploration of tension between virtual and real, high and low, ironic and sincere.
