TTSWTRS Launches Ballet Orbitale Capsule Collection

The new collection explores the discipline and visual language of ballet through a fictional dance academy narrative spanning rehearsal wear and performance costume

TTSWTRS has unveiled Ballet Orbitale, a capsule collection inspired by the structure and rituals of a fictional ballet school, drawing on themes of repetition, training, and physical discipline. The collection launches June 5 through the brand’s e-commerce platform and flagship stores in Ukraine, Poland, and Austria.

Translating to “cosmic ballet,” Ballet Orbitale takes its name from the continuous movement of planets along their orbits, a concept the brand uses to examine repetition as a process of mastery. At the center of the collection is the flamingo, featured on a T-shirt as a recurring symbol that reflects the balance between fragility, precision, and control that defines both ballet training and performance.

The collection begins with garments inspired by rehearsal attire, including bodysuits, tights, tank silhouettes, lace-printed tops, and layered skirts rendered in neutral tones. TTSWTRS adapts these familiar ballet references through its signature printed construction techniques, translating tights, lacework, and layered garments directly onto the body while using puff-print detailing to create dimension and texture.

Rather than focusing exclusively on ballet as spectacle, the collection examines the routines that precede performance. Pieces are designed to occupy the space between uniform and costume, emphasizing the endurance, concentration, and repetition required in professional dance training. This approach aligns with TTSWTRS’ ongoing exploration of clothing as a medium for storytelling, where printed imagery and garment construction work together to create narrative depth.

As the collection progresses, references shift from the rehearsal studio to the stage through an imagined production of Giselle. Garments marked with character names evoke the organizational systems of costume departments, while silhouettes evolve from soft tulle and pale hues into darker velvet jumpsuits, corseted forms, and sharper tailoring. The transition mirrors the ballet’s narrative arc and reflects the movement from preparation to performance.

With Ballet Orbitale, TTSWTRS continues to build collections around highly conceptual frameworks while grounding them in recognizable cultural references. The release underscores the growing intersection of performance culture and fashion design, as brands increasingly draw on disciplines such as dance to explore themes of identity, movement, and transformation.
