19-year-old basketball standout joins Versace’s roster of notable ambassadors
Versace has announced 19-year-old French basketball player Alexandre Sarr as its latest Global Brand Ambassador, highlighting his recent accomplishments and emerging career. Sarr, who started his basketball journey at 14, has played professionally across Europe, Australia, and the United States. This year, he became the second overall pick in the NBA Draft, selected by the Washington Wizards, a milestone he celebrated in a custom-tailored suit by Atelier Versace.
Commenting on the new partnership, Donatella Versace stated,
I am thrilled to welcome Alexandre to the Versace Family. He has such incredible talent at such a young age, I cannot wait to see him go from strength to strength in his field – wearing Versace of course!”
Sarr, now joining a lineup of Versace ambassadors from various fields, expressed his admiration for the brand. “Versace is one of the most recognizable names in the world. You feel it when you wear a Versace design, and it powers you to do more and better. It’s humbling to represent the brand and sit alongside the amazing talent from sport, music, acting and more who Versace have always championed,” he said.
With this appointment, Versace continues its tradition of aligning with emerging figures who demonstrate outstanding promise and skill in their careers. The partnership also underscores Versace’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering connections across fashion, sports, and entertainment.
