A Global Celebration of the House’s 50-Year Legacy Begins with a Gala Evening in Support of UNICEF
Giorgio Armani is marking a milestone moment with the official launch of ARMANI/Archivio, a digital platform dedicated to preserving and sharing the brand’s rich historical legacy. Created in celebration of the House’s 50th anniversary, the platform will debut publicly on Saturday, August 30, with a special evening during the Venice International Film Festival, featuring an invitation-only dinner benefitting UNICEF, followed by a fête for 500 guests at Tesa 113 of the Arsenale.

The ARMANI/Archivio platform—accessible via archivio.armani.com—will offer a curated look into the brand’s archives, beginning with 57 iconic womenswear and menswear looks. While Armani Group employees will have full access to the archive, the public launch offers a compelling first glimpse into the designer’s five-decade creative journey. A physical space near Milan is also in the works to further expand the archive’s reach.
Described by the House as a “conceptual dictionary,” ARMANI/Archivio is not simply a retrospective but a living, evolving project. It is built on themes of cultural preservation, circularity, and a continued dialogue between past and present. Selected garments from historical collections—carefully preserved for their enduring relevance—will be reissued and made available to the public, bridging generations of design enthusiasts.

Following the Venice launch, these archive looks will appear in seven boutiques across the globe through a series of exclusive deliveries, beginning in Milan, Paris, and London, before heading to Los Angeles (timed with the Academy Museum Gala on October 18), New York, Beijing, and Tokyo.
To further honor the designer’s beginnings, Milan’s La Rinascente—where Giorgio Armani first began his journey into fashion—will dedicate its windows to ARMANI/Archivio from September 16 to 29.
The anniversary celebrations will culminate during Milan Fashion Week with an exhibition of 150 looks set among the masterpieces of the Pinacoteca di Brera. On September 24, the exhibition will open to the public, followed by the House’s Spring/Summer 2026 womenswear show in the Palazzo Brera’s Courtyard of Honour, which will also feature select menswear looks from the most recent collection.
In support of the launch event, Giorgio Armani is backing UNICEF’s “Global Humanitarian Thematic Fund,” which ensures rapid and effective responses to conflicts, natural disasters, and epidemics, with a focus on protecting children’s rights.
As Armani once said, “Elegance is not about being noticed, it’s about being remembered.” ARMANI/Archivio is proof that some stories—and silhouettes—are timeless.
