Anne-Sarah Panhard Enters Hermès Perfume & Beauty

Anne-Sarah Panhard takes the reins of Hermès’ fragrance and cosmetics division.

Hermès has quietly confirmed that Anne-Sarah Panhard has assumed leadership of its Perfume and Beauty division, taking over from Agnès de Villers, who held the position since 2015. De Villers has transitioned to become vice president of the Hermès Maroquinerie-Sellier métiers, overseeing areas including Equestrian, Hermès Horizons, Petit h, and Internet of Things specialties.

Panhard, who joined Hermès in 2011, most recently served as managing director of Hermès Maison. In that role, she oversaw the creation and development of decorative objects, tableware, furniture, and furnishing textiles, as well as the Hermès-owned tableware brand Puiforcat. Prior to that, she was managing director of Hermès France, a division comprising 28 stores, 700 employees, and accounting for 14% of the group’s revenue. She also managed the Paris flagship on Faubourg Saint-Honoré, considered one of the most profitable luxury emporiums worldwide.

Her appointment coincides with the announcement of Hermès’ results for the first nine months of 2025, which reported a 6% decline in Perfume and Beauty sales, totaling €367 million.

Panhard brings extensive international experience to the role, having served as country manager for Saks Fifth Avenue in Bahrain and for Salvatore Ferragamo in the UK. Earlier in her career, she was divisional sales manager for fashion accessories and fine jewellery at Harrods, overseeing a segment that represented roughly 20% of the department store’s revenue.

A graduate of Stanford University in San Francisco and INSEAD near Paris, Panhard’s career reflects a mix of operational leadership and product-focused expertise, positioning her to navigate Hermès’ Perfume and Beauty division through a competitive luxury landscape.
