Dior Confirms LA Setting for Jonathan Anderson’s Cruise 2026 Show

The venue is still under wraps, following Dior’s newly opened Rodeo Drive flagship

Jonathan Anderson will debut his first cruise collection for Dior in Los Angeles on May 13, marking a new chapter for the French luxury house. The brand noted that the specific venue will be announced at a later date. The reveal follows the opening of the brand’s new Rodeo Drive flagship, designed by American architect Peter Marino.

The announcement arrives just days after Louis Vuitton confirmed that Nicolas Ghesquière will present his cruise 2027 collection in New York City on May 20. Together, the two events underscore a broader strategic shift, as major luxury houses lean into the U.S. market while it begins a slow recovery from a prolonged sales downturn.

Dior’s historic ties to Hollywood continue to serve as a foundation for its presence in Los Angeles. The house has long dressed leading actresses both on and off the red carpet. Brand ambassadors Jennifer Lawrence and Mikey Madison each accepted Best Actress Oscars wearing Dior, as did Michelle Yeoh.

Anderson follows a lineage of Dior designers who have turned to California for major moments. Maria Grazia Chiuri held her first cruise show for the house in Calabasas in 2017, presenting her collection against a mountainous backdrop punctuated by two hot-air balloons printed with the name of Dior’s men’s fragrance, Sauvage. Kim Jones, Anderson’s predecessor in menswear, also chose Los Angeles, staging his resort 2023 collection in the Venice neighborhood in collaboration with local designer Eli Russell Linnetz.

Dior’s return to Los Angeles signals both continuity and renewed ambition as Anderson prepares to shape the next era of the house’s global narrative.
