Dior Names New Communications Head And Prepares For Executive Changes In Americas Division
Christian Dior has appointed a new chief communications and image officer for its Americas division following the departure of Marisa Pucci. Market sources indicate that Jenny Kim will assume the role, succeeding Pucci, who recently left Dior to join Moncler.
Kim is expected to begin her new position next month. She joins Dior from Bottega Veneta, where she served as senior vice president of marketing and communications for the past six years in New York.
Her professional background includes senior positions at Proenza Schouler, Prada USA, and Helmut Lang. According to her LinkedIn profile, Kim also worked for five years as vice president of fashion at PR Consulting.
The leadership change comes as Dior undergoes a significant period of transition. The Paris-based fashion house is now under the creative direction of Jonathan Anderson, who is scheduled to present his first haute couture collection on Monday during Paris Couture Week.
Christian Dior Couture Americas will also see a new president, Charlotte Holman, starting February 1. Holman is currently president of Parfums Christian Dior for North America and will take over from Alexandra Winokur, who departs after a one-month handover period.
Last year, Dior expanded its presence in the United States by opening two major flagship stores: the House of Dior Beverly Hills at 323 North Rodeo Drive, and the House of Dior New York at the intersection of 57th Street and Madison Avenue.
