Jenny Kim transitions from Bottega Veneta to lead communications at Dior Americas
Christian Dior has confirmed the appointment of Jenny Kim as chief communications and image officer for the Americas, effective February 23, formalizing earlier reports of her move from Bottega Veneta. She succeeds Marisa Pucci, who recently departed Dior to join Moncler.
Kim joins the Paris-based house after six years at Bottega Veneta, where she served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications in New York. Her career also includes senior roles at Proenza Schouler, Prada USA, and Helmut Lang, as well as a five-year tenure as vice president of fashion at PR Consulting.
In her new role, Kim will report globally to Olivier Bialobos, deputy managing director of global communication and image for Christian Dior Couture and Parfums Christian Dior. In the Americas, she will report to Charlotte Holman Ros, president of Christian Dior Couture Americas, and Olivier Teboul, president of Parfums Christian Dior North America.
“Jenny’s experience and expertise will help deliver even more exceptional experiences to our clients and affirm a positioning fully aligned with the expression of the house’s new artistic direction,” Bialobos said in a statement.
Holman Ros, who assumed her role on February 1, underscored the strategic importance of the appointment for the region. Kim’s “experience and proven ability to craft powerful narratives for iconic luxury brands will be instrumental in further enhancing Dior’s presence and engagement across the Americas,” she said.
The leadership confirmation arrives during a broader period of transition for Dior. Jonathan Anderson recently took on the role of creative director and presented his first haute couture collection for the house last month. He is set to unveil his second women’s ready-to-wear collection on March 3 during Paris Fashion Week, marking the next chapter in Dior’s artistic direction.
The Americas remain a critical market for Dior’s growth strategy. Over the past year, the house has expanded its U.S. footprint with the opening of two major flagships: the House of Dior Beverly Hills at 323 North Rodeo Drive and the House of Dior New York at the corner of 57th Street and Madison Avenue. With new leadership across communications and regional management, Dior is aligning its image and operations to support this next phase of development in the region.
