The new fragrance launches this fall as Chanel extends one of its strongest-performing beauty franchises
Chanel is expanding its Coco Mademoiselle fragrance franchise with the launch of Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu, an eau de parfum that marks a new chapter in the collection’s story while remaining rooted in the spirit of the original. The fragrance arrives as Coco Mademoiselle celebrates its 25th anniversary, underscoring Chanel’s strategy of evolving established fragrances rather than introducing entirely new pillars.

Developed by Chanel’s in-house perfumer Olivier Polge, Crush Absolu offers a more concentrated interpretation of the original scent while maintaining its recognizable identity. The fragrance will officially launch on August 19, coinciding with Gabrielle Chanel’s birthday, with a presale beginning July 31 for select existing clients. The 1.7-ounce bottle will retail for $162, while the 3.4-ounce bottle will be priced at $195. The eau de parfum is projected to generate more than €100 million in sales during its first year.
Coco Mademoiselle has remained one of Chanel’s highest-performing fragrances for more than two decades. Reimagining the signature scent through Crush Absolu reflects the enduring strength of the franchise within the global fragrance market.
As the beauty and fragrance industry continues to favor recognizable franchises with strong customer loyalty, Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu demonstrates how luxury houses are investing in their existing icons through thoughtful product extensions. Chanel’s latest launch introduces a new interpretation for loyal consumers while inviting a new generation of shoppers into one of the house’s most successful fragrance collections.
