Brunello Cucinelli Expands Its Fragrance Lineup

The Collection of Six Gender-Neutral Scents Builds on the Brand’s First Fragrance Line Launched in 2022

Brunello Cucinelli has introduced a new fragrance collection, Incanti Poetici (translated as “Poetic Enchantments”), featuring six gender-neutral scents. Developed in partnership with Euroitalia, the line follows the launch of the brand’s first fragrances, Brunello Cucinelli pour Femme and pour Homme, in 2022.

The new collection was created with six master perfumers, including Daphné Bugey, who previously crafted the brand’s inaugural women’s perfume. Bugey’s contribution to this collection, Brezza Gentile, features notes of bitter orange, patchouli, and Ambrox, inspired by the serene Garden of Philosophers at the brand’s headquarters in Solomeo, Italy. “I wanted to create a fragrance that reflects a rich inner life, a mysterious world, a place of retreat, introspection and meditation,” Bugey stated. Alberto Morillas crafted Ombra Lirica, blending cedar, guaiac wood, oud, and volcanic olibanum to evoke the feeling of “wearing a beautiful garment made of fine materials.” Vie Eteree by Benoist Lapouza combines Italian bergamot, citron, basil, cardamom, and cedarwood for a fresh, invigorating scent. Florian Gallo’s Soffio Zenit channels Mediterranean summers with fig, rosemary, and lavender. Quentin Bisch created Sogno Notturno, featuring sandalwood, cumin, osmanthus, and vetiver, while Jordi Fernandez’s Vento Ardente centers on a leather accord spiced with saffron and pepper.

Euroitalia’s general manager, Davide Sgariboldi, noted the alignment of both companies’ values. “Brunello Cucinelli, like our company, is based on values including the constant search for artisanal excellence, love and respect for natural raw materials, and the inspiration offered by an Italian lifestyle that exalts the beauty of nature,” he said.

The fragrances are housed in classic glass bottles with aluminum caps and details, designed to evoke old-fashioned colognes. Priced at €295 for a 100-ml bottle, the line will debut in Italy next month, with a global launch planned for 2025. The collection will be available at select Brunello Cucinelli stores and high-end retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Harrods.

The collaboration between Brunello Cucinelli and Euroitalia began in 2020 but remained undisclosed until the initial fragrance launch. Both companies were founded in 1978. Brunello Cucinelli, listed on the Italian stock exchange since 2012, reported a 12.4% increase in revenues to €920.2 million in the first nine months of 2024. Euroitalia also reported record sales in 2023, up 24.4% to €857.4 million.

Euroitalia’s portfolio includes licenses for brands such as Versace, Michael Kors, Missoni, and Dsquared2, as well as proprietary labels like Naj Oleari Beauty and Atkinsons 1799. Earlier this year, Euroitalia acquired Moschino’s beauty business from Aeffe SpA for €98 million, expanding its portfolio with cosmetics, fragrances, and scented products.
