Roberto Cavalli Appoints Gian Giacomo Ferraris CEO
Gian Giacomo Ferraris has been named CEO of Roberto Cavalli SpA. Ferraris was previously the CEO of Versace for seven years and credited with its profitable turnaround. Prior to Versace, Ferraris was CEO of the Jil Sander Group. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director of the RTW Division of Gucci Group.
Philip Brassington Joins Aquascutum as Managing Director
Philip Brassington has been tapped by Uk based Aquascutum as Managing Director. Brassington joins Aquascutum with over 19 years’ experience in luxury fashion, both in the UK and internationally. He most recently served as Managing Director at Alfred Dunhill.
Aquascutum Taps Te Dinh Sy Head of Menswear
Aquascutum has appointed Te Dinh Sy as Head of Menswear. Dinh Sy was previously Menswear Designer at Alexander McQueen, McQ by Alexander McQueen and Kenzo.
Men’s Creative Director to Exit Carven
Parisian Designer, Barnabé Hardy, will step down from his role as Creative Director of Menswear at Carven. The company would like to focus more on womenswear. Hardy was with Carven since 2015.
Sally Pitkin Steps Down as Billabong Director
Sally Pitkin has announced her retirement as the Director of Billabong International. Pitkin has been with Billabong for four and a half years, and has played various roles such as Chair of Human Resources and Remuneration Committee. Prior to Billabong, Pitkin served as Non-Executive Director of Link Group.
Mary Ellen Coyne, previously Chief Merchandising Officer of POLO Women’s and Children’s divisions at Ralph Lauren, is now CEO at J. McLaughlin. Prior to her nineteen years at Ralph Lauren, Coyne was EVP/GM of Victoria’s Secret Catalogue. She also held executive merchandising and product development positions at The Gap, Banana Republic, and Ann Taylor. She began her career in the Macy’s Training Program.
Tommy Fazio, previously President of Retail Fashion for UBM Americas, is now Fashion Director UBM Fashion Group.
Michelle Labovitz, previously PR Coordinator at Etro, has left the company.
Dominique Sisley, previously Digital Staff writer at Dazed, is now News Editor.
Jack Cummings, previously Chief Reporter/Assistant Editor at The Tab, is now Weekend Social Editor at Vice.
Kirsten Nash, previously Senior Producer at Dizon Inc., is now VP.
