This week Burberry taps Gianluca Flore from Brioni as President of the Americas, Designer Veronique Branquinho takes a hiatus on her namesake label, and Patti Wilson is named Editor-at-Large at Italian Vogue.

Burberry Taps Gianluca Flore as President of the Americas
Gianluca Flore is joining Burberry as President of the Americas where he will report to new CEO of Burberry Marco Gobetti. Previously, Flore spent nearly a decade at the Kering Group, most recently as CEO of Brioni, and before that as President of the Americas then as Worldwide Retail and Wholesale Director for Bottega Veneta. Prior to that, Flore worked as President of the Americas for Fendi and President of the Americas for La Perla.
Ron Frasch Joins Burberry on their Board of Directors
Burberry has tapped Ron Frasch to join the British brand’s Board of Directors, where he will be a non-executive Director and sit on the Remuneration and Nomination Committees. Currently, Frasch is an Operating Partner at Castanea, a private equity firm in Massachusetts. Before his time there, Frasch was Chief Merchandising Officer and President for Saks Fifth Avenue until it sold to Hudson Bay Co. in 2013. Prior to that, he acted as CEO and President for Bergdorf Goodman. Ron Frasch will serve on the Burberry Board of Directors effective September 1st.
Jeremy Darroch has joined Burberry’s Board of Directors.
Veronique Branquinho Halts Namesake Label
Veronique Branquinho has announced that her label will be on hiatus following her parting with Onward Luxury Group, Branquinho’s Fall 2017 show will be her last for the time being. The Belgian designer first stepped onto the international fashion stage in 1997 during Paris Fashion Week with her sharp tailoring and pleated cuts. Branquinho has a history of industry accolades including numerous awards, and a 10-year retrospective exhibit at the Momu Fashion Museum in Antwerp. This is the second time Branquinho’s brand has gone on hiatus, the first being in 2009, returning in 2012.
Tiger of Sweden names Hans-Christian Meyer as CEO
Effective September 1st, Hans-Christian Meyer will take over menswear brand Tiger of Sweden as their new CEO. Meyer joins from Ralph Lauren where he was most recently President of Retail for Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Prior to that, he held numerous positions at Ralph Lauren including SVP and Managing Director, and VP of Scandinavian and Baltic Operations. As CEO of Tiger of Sweden, Meyer will report to Directors at the IC Group.
Marco De Vincenzo Taps Renato Munafò as CEO
Renato Munafò has been named CEO of Italian fashion house Marco De Vincenzo, succeeding Giuseppe Grillo who will remain on as President. Munafò joins from Fendi where he worked since 2010 first as Retail Controller, then as Travel Retail and Franchise Manger.
True Facet Appoints Andrew Block as President
Andrew Block has been tapped as President of online jewelry marketplace TrueFacet after serving on the company’s Advisory Board for two years. Previously, Block was President and CEO of Second Time Partners LLC, a luxury industry consultancy. Prior to that, Block held a portfolio of executive positions at S.H. Silver Fine Jewelry, Chiron Distribution, Tourneau LLC, and the Joseph Kelrick Corporation. During his time as TrueFacet President Block will focus on partnerships and aligning the site with a millennial audience.
Dutch LLC Names James Miller as CEO
Dutch LLC, parent company of Joie, Equipment and Current/Elliott, has promoted James Miller as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Jack Schwefel, who will remain on Dutch’s board. Miller previously served as a consultant to Dutch for five months before being appointed President in March, before that he was President of Retail for Ralph Lauren. Prior to that, Miller worked in leadership positions at Ted Baker from 2002-2015.
Estée Lauder Taps Violette as Global Beauty Director
French makeup artist and influencer Violette has been appointed as the new Global Beauty Director at Estée Lauder. Violette has 95.5 thousand Instagram followers and 90.8 thousand subscribers to her Youtube chanel where she posts beauty tutorials. Violette will run Estée Lauder’s Instagram and Youtube accounts. Violette joins the brand after stints at Dior and La Mer. She will replace Tom Pecheux, who became the global beauty director of YSL earlier this year.
Jonathan Myers Joins Avon as COO
Effective September 1st, Jonathan Myers will act as the new Chief Operating Officer/EVP at Avon. Previously, Myers was the VP and General Manager of Kelloggs in the UK and Ireland for five years. Prior to that, Myers held multiple leadership positions at Proctor & Gamble over the course of 20 years with the firm.
Stich Fix Names Paul Yee as CFO
Paul Yee has joined personal styling service Stitch Fix as their new Chief Financial Officer. Previously Yee was CFO for Method Products, and before that he was VP of Finance at Peet’s Coffee, working there for nearly 7 years where he helped increase EPS growth over 20% each of the first 3 years he was there. Prior to that, Yee worked at Gap Inc, in a multitude of leadership positions.
Nancy Murray, previously SVP of Communications at Louis Vuitton, is now EVP at Caruso Real Estate Development.
Saba Landmann, previously Sr. Director of PR at Vince, is now VP of Global Communications at DKNY.
Vogue Italia Names Patti Wilson Editor-at-Large
Stylists Patti Wilson will be joining Vogue Italia as Fashion Editor-at-Large. Wilson has collaborated with photographers like Inez and Vinoodh, Steven Meisel, and Steven Klein, to create stories for W Magazine, V Magazine, Vogue Germany, and Vogue Italia.
Condé Nast Announces Debut of Vogue Poland
Condé Nast International has reveled plans to launch Vogue Poland in 2018, making it the third Eastern European branch of Vogue behind Russia and the Ukraine. Former head of Polish Esquire Filip Niedenthal will lead the new venture as Editor-In-Chief, while Polish model and actress Malgosia Bela will be Editor-at-Large.
Veronique Hyland, previously Fashion News Editor at The Cut, is now Director of Fashion Features at Elle.
Nate Erickson, previously at Bon Appétit and Epicurious, is now Senior Lifestyle Editor at Esquire.com.
