Kering Taps Jean-Philippe Bailly as COO
Kering, owners of Gucci, Saint Laurent, and numerous other luxury brands, has tapped Jean-Philippe Bailly as COO. Previously, Bailly was Director of Supply Chain & Procurement at Richemont since 2004. Prior to that he held various roles including Director of Operations at Valeo. Bailly will also serve as a member of the group’s executive committee.
Bloomingdales’ EVP/GMM Men’s David Fisher Exits
After 33 years at New York based retailer Bloomingdales, David Fisher is departing as EVP and GMM of Men’s and Young World. Fisher’s departure is part of parent firm, Macy’s Inc., buyout plan to select veteran employees.
Ennio and Carlo Capasa Founders Depart Costume National
Brothers Ennio and Carlo Capasa are parting ways with the design house they founded in 1986, Costume National. The Creative Director and CEO respectively were bought out by Hong Kong based Sequedge Group which invested in the house in 2009 with an option to buy out the Capasas which they exercised.
Pablo Olea, previously PR Director at Moschino, is now Worldwide Communications and PR Director.
Walpole Appoints Gillian de Bono & Richard Carter as Board Members
British luxury organization Walpole whose membership includes Alexander McQueen, Alfred Dunhill, and Jo Malone to name a few, has appointed Gillian de Bono and Richard Carter to its board. De Bono is the Editor of ‘How To Spend It’, which is a luxury magazine by the Financial Times. Carter is the Director of Global Communications of Rolls Royce, which he joined in 2009. Previously, Carter was the GM and a Member of the Board for Public Affairs and Group Communications of BMW Group South Africa.
David Walker-Smith Leaves Fenwick as Managing Director
After three years, Managing Director David Walker-Smith is exiting London based retailer, Fenwick Limited. Previously, Walker-Smith was a Buying and Merchandising Director at Selfridges. His successor has not been named.
Gant Names Patrik Soderstrom as Director of Global Sales
Gant has appointed the previous Managing Director of Northern Europe at Luxottica, Patrik Soderstrom as Director of Global Sales. Prior to that, Soderstrom was the GM and Sales Director for Reebok and Sales Manager for Levi Straus & Co.
Brian Grevy Tapped as CMO of Gant
The former GM of Training at Adidas, Brian Grevy has now been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer of Gant. Previously, Grevy held several other positions in Adidas including VP of Men’s Training, Business Unit Director.
Matthew Wood Promoted to Creative Director at Gant Diamond G
Gant has promoted Matthew Wood from Business Unit Director to Creative Director. Wood was previously the Head of Design at Gant.
Gunnar Hedendahl, previously Global Sales & Marketing Director of Sport at Oscar Jacobson AB is now Business Unit Director at Gant Diamond G.

Hearst Attains Linda Wells
After recently departing Allure after 24 years at the helm, Linda Wells has been tapped by Hearst to produce content for publications that include a 12-16 page beauty report that will be in the September subscriber copies of Marie Claire, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Town & Country. Her title at Hearst has not been released.
T Magazine Names Elizabeth Webbe Lunny as Publisher
Elizabeth Webbe Lunny has been appointed as VP and Publisher of T: The New York Times Style Magazine. Previously Lunny was Associate Publisher of Women’s Health. Prior to that, Lunny was the Advertising Director at Vogue, and held several positions in Conde Nast such as Associate Publisher for WWD.
Anne Sachs, previously Executive Digital Director at Glamour, is now a member of the Corporate and Digital Strategy Initiatives team at Hearst.
Julia Hackel, previously Senior Producer at Intrepid London, is now Photographic Director at Dazed Media.
