Jason Basmajian departs Gieves & Hawkes for Cerruti 1881
Savile Row’s Gieves & Hawkes Creative Director of three years, Jason Basmajian, is leaving the company to head up Paris-based house Cerruti 1881. Basmajian was Artistic Director at Brioni for six years prior to his role at Gieves & Hawkes.
John Dixon Appointed CEO of David Jones
Australian department store chain, David Jones, has named John Dixon its CEO. Previously, Dixon held the role of Head of General Merchandise at Marks and Spencer where he spent more than 30 years. David Jones’ current CEO, Iain Nairn is resigning after 14 months in this position due to “personal reasons.”
CFO & COO Brad Dickerson of Under Armour Steps Down
Under Armour’s CFO and COO, Brad Dickerson, has announced that he will be stepping down next year to “pursue another professional opportunity outside of the athletic performance industry.” Dickerson joined Under Armour in 2004 and was named CFO in 2008 and COO in early 2015.
Shangpin appoints former LVMH President James Zhang as COO
Beijing-based online retailer Shangpin.com has named LVMH’s James Zhang as their new COO. Prior to Zhang’s role as President of LVMH’s fashion division in China, he was General Manager at Dior China and Brand General Manager at Esteé Lauder.
Antoine Phillips, previously Director, PR, Menswear and Celebrity at Calvin Klein Inc., is now Senior Director of Public Relations at Giorgio Armani.
Alex and Ani’s CMO Ryan Bonifacino Exits
Ryan Bonifacino has resigned from his position as CMO from the Rhode Island-based accessories brand, Alex and Ani, reportedly to complete his MBA. Bonifacino was in the process of getting his MBA at MIT when he left in 2010 to be Senior VP of Digital at Alex and Ani before being appointed to CMO. Bonifacino will still remain in an advisory role for the balance of the year.

Tim Noakes Departs Dazed
Editorial Director of Dazed, Tim Noakes has announced he is stepping down from his role. Noakes is credited with rebranding the trendsetting British title and steering Dazed Media in their transition into a digital media business. Prior to his role as Editorial Director, he held the position as music editor when he first joined Dazed in 2005, then was promoted to Editor-in-Chief in 2012.
