The Collected Group Appoints Sarah Rutson as Chief Brand Officer
The Collected Group (formerly Dutch LLC), owners of Joie, Current/Elliott, and Equipment, has tapped Sarah Rutson as Chief Brand Officer. In her new role, she will oversee the expansion of the company’s portfolio as well as advancement of the company’s existing labels. Rutson joins from Net-a-Porter where she was VP of Global Buying. Prior to that, she was Fashion Director of both women’s and menswear at Lane Crawford.
VF Corporation Promotes Steve Rendle to Executive Chairman and Director
Steve Rendle has been named Exectuive Chairman and Director of VF Cooperation, owners of The North Face, Timberland, Vans, and Lee. Rendle succeeds Eric Wiseman who will retire at the end of this October after 22 years with the VF Coorperation.
Farfetch Taps David Rosenblatt as Board Member
CEO of online antique shopping platform 1stdibs, David Rosenblatt will join Farfetch as a non-exectuive Board Member. Rosenblatt’s responsibilities to the board will include working with management and lending his experiences in the tech industry to aid with the company’s growth. This is not Rosenblatt’s first time serving as a Board Member as he is also on the Board of Twitter, Narrative Science, and IAC. Before his time at 1stdibs, he was CEO of internet advertising server and Googlesubsidary DoubleClick.
David Cunningham Named Kaltex America CMO
Textile manufacturer Kaltex America has tapped David Cunningham as their new Chief Marketing Officer. The new position entails the responsibility of creating internal brands and private label brands. Previously, Cunningham was CEO of Jade Marketing Group. Prior to that, he worked at multiple fashion labels including Ralph Lauren, Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger.
J.C. Penney Appoints Jeffrey Davis as EVP and CFO
Jeffrey Davis has been appointed EVP and Chief Financial Officer at J.C. Penney. Previously, Davis was SVP and CFO at Darden Restaurants. Prior to that, he served in leadership roles at Walmart since 2006, most recently as EVP and Treasurer. Davis Succeeds Interim CFO Andrew Drexler.
Bloomingdale’s Hires Heather Shimokawa as VP and Ready-to-Wear Director
Heather Shimokawa has been brought on as VP and Ready-to-Wear Director of Bloomingdale’s. Previously, Shimokawa was VP of PR and Communications for Bally. Prior to that, she Fashion Makert Director of Menswear at Vanity Fair for nearly 5 years. Shimokawa has also been a Freelance Stylist and Fashion Consultant since 2005.
Estée Lauder CFO Tracey Travis Joins Accenture Board of Directors
Tracey Travis, EVP and CFO of Estée Lauder, will now also serve on the Board of Directors for management consulting company, Accenture. Along with this new responsibility, Travis oversees Estée Lauder’s accounting, global finance, and investor relations. In the past Travis has also served as SVP and CFO of Ralph Lauren.
Justine Bellavita Appointed Editor-in-Chief of Vogue International
Vogue International has named Justine Bellavita to the newly created role of Editor-in-Chief, to lead the new Vogue International digital editorial team beginning in October. In her new London based role Bellavita will seek to align the many Vogue international web sites and report to the President of Condé Nast International, Wolfgang Blau. Bellavita is currently Editor at VanityFair.it, and was previously Digital Editor of Vogue Italia, working under Franca Sozzani. The international team will include editors, reporters, a social media and audience development team, video journalists, and a dedicated Snapchat team.
Joaquín Colino Promoted to CEO of Condé Nast Mexico and Latin America
Condé Nast International has promoted Joaquín Colino to Chief Executive Officer and GM of its Mexico and Latin America divisions. Colino was most recently Digital Director of Condé Nast Mexico and Latin America for the last two years.
Pat McGrath Joins British Vogue as Beauty Editor-at-Large
Internationally renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath will serve as the new Beauty Editor-at-Large for British Vogue. McGrath has been tapped by upcoming Editor-in-Chief and good friend Edward Enninful, whom she met in the 90s while the two worked at i-D magazine. Since then, McGrath has grown to be one of the most celebrated make-up artists of her time, earning honors which include the 2017 CFDA Founder’s Award, MBE or Member of the Order of the British Empire, and a spot on Vogue’s “Most Influencial” list. Her experience includes working with British, American, and Italian Vogue, as well as Prada, Comme des Garçons, and Miu Miu.

Ralph Lauren Will Show Spring 2017 Collection in Bedford, New York
Located about an hour’s drive out of Manhattan, Bedford, New York will host Ralph Lauren’s Spring 2017 show. On September 12th, Ralph Lauren will transport press, buyers, and friends to “Ralph’s Garage” in Bedford where the designer keeps his collection of rare cars, this being the first time Ralph’s Garage will host an event. The show will include the women’s collection along with Ralph Lauren Purple Label Menswear on a see-now-buy-now basis.
Narciso Rodriguez Departs Runway for Showroom Presentations
For this upcoming NYFW: Women’s, Designer Narciso Rodriguez will not present via runway in his traditional Tuesday evening time slot. The designer will forego a runway show and instead present his collection in one-on-one showroom appointments on September 6th.
