Ari Hoffman, previously President and CEO of Benetton US, is now US CEO of Amsterdam-based Scotch & Soda. The brand operates 13 stores in the US and a total of 110 stores worldwide. “I’m here to grow the business. There are a lot of exciting opportunities in brick-and-mortar, wholesale and e-commerce, which are all growing businesses. The same with men’s, women’s and children’s, which are also growing. I’ll be working to optimize each business and build a wholesale and retail network. That’s my mission for the coming year,” explains Hoffman. Prior to Benetton, Hoffmam was US CEO of Gant and was with Yves Saint Laurent for 12 years.
Kenneth Frieze, previously President Gordon Brothers Group, is now Chief Executive Officer of the restructuring, investment and consulting firm. He succeeds Michael Frieze, who continues as Chairman and Chief Investment Officer.
Alessandra Bettar, previously Global Commercial Director at Joseph, is now CEO of Italian luxury goods label Valextra. The label is opening a 1,620 square foot flagship store on Madison Avenue, in New York, this November.
Paul Mason, previously Chief Executive at Asda, and then Matalan, is now non-executive chairman for fast fashion retailer New Look. Mason succeeds New Look’s founder Tom Singh, who was previously interim non-executive chairman. Singh will stay on the retailer’s board as non-executive director.
Marie-Pierre Stark-Flora, who previously held roles at Illuminage, a skin care device company she founded, Kiehl’s and L’Oreal, is now senior vice president of global marketing for Estée Lauder. Stark-Flora will report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Global Brand President for the Estée Lauder brand, and will be based in the US. She will be responsible for leading global marketing strategy, consumer engagement strategy, and digital marketing and media planning.
Nancy Pedot, is stepping down from her role as Chief Executive Officer at Comptoir des Cotonniers and Princesse Tam Tam. Parent company Fast Retailing Co. Ltd, which also own Uniqlo, J Brand and Theory, reports that Pedot is leaving to pursue other career opportunities. Until a successor is named, Nobuo Domae, Senior Group Officer at Fast Retailing and Co-CEO of Fast Retailing France will oversee Pedot’s duties.
Rick Blackshaw, previously President of Keds, is now President of Sperry Top-Sider.
Chris Lindner, previously Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Business Development for Sperry Top-Sider, is now President of Keds.
