Kristen Stewart swaps vampire venom for versatility as the Twilight actress partners with Chanel for their 2016 Eyes Collection campaign. Chanel has always delivered in ways that prove their ability to adapt to the ever-changing global fashion market – providing us with anything we could ever need. From apparel and accessories to fragrance and beauty, and everything in between, Chanel never settles for anything less than fabulous. Now, furthering their quest to expand their horizons but still keep their timeless Chanel DNA, comes Kristen Stewart. This edgy actress adds a different and eccentric layer to the already elegant and simplistic brand.
Once again, Chanel proves their versatility – not only did they introduce the 4 personalities that represent Chanel’s modern day woman – Tomboy, The Star, Mischievous, and Playful, they also showcased the 4 new makeup products of their new collection – mascara, an eyebrow pencil, eye shadows, and facial powder.
As Kristen Stewart brought the campaigns hashtag #eyescanbe to life, she blew us away with her ability to embody these 4 personalities. While simultaneously putting on this fabulous makeup kit, she incorporated her avant-garde aesthetic into each look, showing us that Chanel and Kristen Stewart are the perfect match.
Shot by Mario Testino, this campaign consisted of a series of black and white portraits along with 4 behind the scenes videos – one for each of the modern day woman’s personalities. The narration of the unseen interviewer focused our minds on the true versatility that is Chanel, and kept our eyes on the beautiful and diverse shots of Stewart for the 2016 collection. Chanel continues to prove that through fashion and beauty, you can be anything you want to be.
