Some of the hottest work in fashion films is coming out of the Garage, Garage Magazine that is. For the latest installment in their commissioned film series, the team enlisted director Ricky Saiz to do a little tune-up on the Calvin Klein Jeans & Underwear collection and the result feels like a freshly oiled machine.

Putting the ‘body’ in body shop are Binx Walton, Camille Rowe, Catherine McNeil, Daphne Groenveld, Gerard McNamee, Jamie Bochert, Malaika Firth, & Nadja Bender all to a soundtrack by Jane’s Addiction.

Tool puns aside, the real story is how innovative publishers are transcending traditions and expanding into video from i-D to Vice to Garage. Vice was able to parlay their point of view and video acumen into an ongoing HBO series and i-D has taken native advertising to a whole new level with brands like Marc Jacobs. We applaud these innovators who have popped open the hood and tinkered around with the engine and look forward to watching the race.
