Nina Ricci has officially announced that Guillaume Henry, who spent his last five years as the Creative Director of Carven, will be the new Creative Director of Nina Ricci.Backstage at Carven, Mr. Henry hinted he would be leaving and speculations arose that he would be joining Nina Ricci. A few days after the show, Carven announced that the designer was indeed leaving the house.
The 35-year-old Henry is preceded at Nina Ricci by Peter Copping, who is rumored to be the lead designer at Oscar de la Renta (though Oscar de la Renta has yet to make an announcement officially).
So now that Henry’s departure from Carven is official, we’re dying to know: Who is going to replace him?
CEO Henri Sebaoun has said that the search has begun. Henry is not due to leave until November. As the company’s search for the new Creative Director begins, Henry will be busy during his off-time prepping for his first show for Nina Ricci. He will be releasing his first collection for fall/winter by mid-February.
