Louis Vuitton’s Industrious Fall 2017 Campaign
BY BRENNA O’DONNELL
Industrial, turbulent, mechanically urban scenes serve as the backdrop for Louis Vuitton’s new Fall 2017 ad campaign shot by Bruce Weber. The photos and 45 second video feature numerous familiar faces of actors and models alike, standing out vibrantly alongside fast cars and heavy machinery as Weber plays with spinning camera work, dual imagery, wind, and strobe effects. Music and pace intensify halfway through as models start running and even throwing Louis Vuitton bags as drums accompany the piano track as background music.
The new Louis Vuitton pieces are sure to withstand even the harshest conditions, as shown on Game of Thrones starlet Sophie Turner wearing her black sleeveless LV shirt in a wind tunnel. Don’t worry about working around an industrial garage either, as Jaden Smith and Riley Keough make their Fall 2017 dresses and all-white outfits look perfect for the most mechanical occasion.
Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Keough, and Will Smith’s son Jaden are perfect for the campaign as they are quite literally the next generation of celebrity; their familiar faces usher in a younger crowd to the brand while also maintaining their families’ notoriety with older audiences.
