The Store Scout | MOUSSY SOHO
BY MARISSA TORSIELLO
Premium Japanese denim label, Moussy, has opened its first store in the U.S. in NYC’s SoHo district at 474 Broome Street.
The stores 2,000 square feet of retail space was designed by architecture firm, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, and features a 29-foot long denim wall showcasing over 26 styles in different cuts and washes. The store marks Moussy’s Japanese parent company, Baroque Japan Limited, first foray into retail here in the states with their other label, Enfold, also opening a store in NY this fall.
Founded in 2000, Moussy seeks to mix everyday essentials at a one-stop shop. Moussy crosses gender norms by approaching women’s fashion with a traditionally men’s style, while paying homage to its minimalist Japanese heritage.
We are pleased to introduce Moussy in the U.S. with our first flagship store in New York. We look forward to seeing the brand flourish in the American market and we are enthusiastic to meet our customer here.
